Anxiety
Anxiety shares many of the same thoughts and feelings as depression. But it also often leaves those suffering from it feeling edgy, irritable, restless and unable to contain persistent worrying thoughts. When we are anxious, we find it hard to make decisions, partly because we think of too many things at once, and focus on negative outcomes of our decisions. It is hard to focus on any task or project when anxious.
Causes and Treatment of Anxiety
Anxiety can arise due to immediate stresses like work, financial or relationship difficulties. Some people can have a tendency to become anxious due to overwhelming stress they experienced earlier in their lives. Counselling can help a person gain control over their thoughts, and also to be able to understand the sources and triggers of their anxiety. Through counselling people can regain more control over their daily lives and become more able to focus and concentrate. This enables positive change in dealing with challenges and stressful situations.
